Be aware that we are an online theory trainer for the beauty and laser industry. This industry does require that an individual can safely and correctly complete a service for a client through communication (verbal) and can safely treat the client by hearing what he/she communicates to them.
Under the OSHA, Board of Cosmetology, and NIC safety requirements, estheticians and laser technicians must have:
–the ability to communicate effectively, for client’s protection during a service or retail.
–the ability to hear if the client is under stress, the esthetician must be able to make quick and fair judgement for the safety of the client.
–the ability to use hands; performing treatments requires the full use of both hands to the face and body.
–the ability to walk freely by checking in with client at the reception desk and walking him or her to a treatment room. Depending on the area of the facility, some rooms are a distance away from the reception desk.
